A Bakweri Christmas Carol

“Vee-jeli  ve   e-Mwaana  Lova” (The coming of the Son of God)

Intro.
“Vee-jeli  ve   e-Mwaana  Lova”
“Yo, yo, yo” ! (One, one, one).
“Yo, vee-va; yo-vee-va; yo, vee-va” 
(One-two; one-two; one-two)

Then in quick succession:
“Yo, vee-va, veyau” (One, two three), followed by the Carol:

“Vee-jeli  ve   e-Mwaana  Lova,
(The coming of the Son of God)
ve-veni  monyi-ngisene,    
na  mosombise,         
o-matongo  ma  Ese  yase”.
(causes tremors of jubilation in all corners of the World).

Chorus: 
“oooo-matongo,  (In all corners)
oooo-matongo,   (In all corners)
o-matongo  ma  Ese  yase”.
(In all corners/every nook and canny of the World)
