Yasi nanu: Njoh a Nyame and Isele a Nyame were very good friends. In one of their long conversations Isele proposed and Njoh accepted that since their respective mothers had lived for too long, it was reasonable to terminate the lives of their mothers so that the old mothers would rest in peace in their graves. Njoh and Isele too would then be spared the arduous task of caring for aged women who had already outlived their usefulness and had also gone senile.
On the night before the planned assassinations, Isele hid his own mother on top of a tall tree known as Wuma, and then tricked Njoh to kill his mother. Later when Njoh realized that Isele had intrigued him, Njoh vowed to devour Isele and Isele’s old mother. Isele then avoided contacts with Njoh.
